Living Water is one of three congregations at St John’s Great Horton that meets on Sundays and in the week.

The Living Water Celebration is every Sunday at 9.30am at the Hope Centre. Worship takes the form of a Communion Service in the Anglican tradition with Bible Teaching and Prayer Ministry.

There are four teaching themes this Spring.  We begin with an Easter theme looking at the accounts of the Resurrection of Jesus in the Gospel of John.  We then look at two topics in the Diocese of Bradford 'Future Faithful' programme - 'Yes to Young People' and 'Church in Community.'  Our third theme is 'Stepping out in Faith' looking at the historical secions of the Old Testament.  Leading up to the summer, we will be looking at 'Jesus People'  from Luke 9 and 10.

On 25 April, there is a United Service at 10.30am with our Synergy congregation to launch our new mission link with Uganda through Tear Fund.  We have a special Pentecost service on 23 May and on 27 June our mission partners with CMS in Egypt, Chris and Angela Chorlton will be joining us.l.

We also meet in small groups called ‘Cells’ in the week. This is a great time to get to know others, worship and pray in an intimate setting (usually a home), consider how the Sunday teaching applies to our lives and encourage one another in living each day for Jesus.

Ian Slater will be leader of Living Water during the Vicar's Sabbatical.  Phone him on 01274 571231 or email ian.slater@stjohnsgh.org.uk
